Wire guage i should use

I just picked up a AQ1200D, and i have a 12" RE SX... i had some run of the mill wire on my old sub system, and i want to get good wires this time..

If im running down to 1 ohm probly 1000wrms, what awg wires should i use for speaker/power? and what sized fuses?

I was going to go with 1/0 awg for the power wire/ground and the biggest i can get (which on knukoncepts is like 8awg) for speaker wire...would that be fine?

And i really dont know what to think about fuses haha.

Look at it like this, if you buy the best to start with, you won't need to upgrade later. You would be saving yourself money by not have to buy better wire later.

Knukoncepts would be some of the better wire you can buy. 1/0 power and 8 ga. speaker wire with a 150 amp fuse.

1/0 is great for power..especially if you go bigger at a later time. 12 guage would be more than enough for speaker wire for what you have.

x2 on the 12 gauge speaker wire. You don't need 8 gauge.
