Turn Off Thump - SPL KID Please Help

I found your post ( http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=282978&highlight=thump )on this issue and the image you attaced. Please I need you help in explaining more on the image. I am not an electrical guru, I can connect, install and solder. I work in my car - Garage DIY.

 

I have a car CD/Radia deck, and Amplifier, and speakers (no sub-woofer). If I get the relay you mentioned, I am lost on exactly how to do the connections. The questions I have are:

1. There is an ignition wire from the deck. How does that connect to the relay. Do I need to connect it to the relay? If so, how do I connect the ignition to the amp? Would it be #30 from the deck and #87 to the amp?

 

2. What is the "OPUS SIGNAL"?

 

Please I need more learner's guidiance. Thanks for your time.
