wire guage(checking)

Absolutely not. No. Nada. Not unless you want your car to burn down. And it WILL burn down if you try and pull that much current through such a small wire.
I possibly have an md2 comming, if I wire it at 2 ohms for 900 watts (plus sum for being overrated) is it also unsafe keeping my 8 guage wire?? What would the "limit" be for the 8 guage? I'll wire it at 8 ohms if I have to LOL (til I can get some 1/0 of course), either that or keep the md2 in the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The problem you are having with the calculator on the site is that you are using the wrong one. You said you were using the speaker wire calc. not the power wire calc. Use the correct tool and get the correct answer.

I would draw the line at around 400W for 8ga. For anything bigger you need at least 4ga and the power and ground cannot be too big. Don't even try hooking the MD2 up with 8ga.

Ohh oops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif lol I knew I was doing something wrong with calculating that, thanks for the responses
