wire Gauge difference?

Phoenix Gold sells all sorts of different wires with different gauge numbers, does the higher Gauge ratings make a difference in sound quality.

the lower the gauge, generally the larger the amount of copper is in the wire, unless you get some ebay 0 gauge or something, then the rule doesnt apply, lol

You select the wire gauge by the amount of current you're drawing...

Yea, im retarded so let me see if im getting this.

Lower gauge number = More copper = More current?

So if im running an amp with rms of 600 and a max of 800 which guage would i want.

Just don't get cheap power cable, there is a difference, better brands ( stinger, kicker, streetwires, etc.) the name brands are better, they have more copper per ft. than the cheap stuff. If you ever get a chance hold them side by side and look at the copper, or weigh a section of the copper alone. You will see. it's amazing!

if i were you i would go ahead and spend the 80-90$ for a kicker 1/0 kit off ebay, run 1/0 tot he back to a distro to 4ga, it will be alot easier in the long run
