Wire down or Bigger amp?

So I have looked through countless threads about wireing down to .5 and what electrical is needed and people are back and forth so much on the topic I cant get a straight answer for my particular situation.

Im running a 150A alt, XS D4700 (50ah) up front big 4 done, here's where my setup is different than most people I have two runs of 4ga ofc 13' run to a XS xp3000 (120ah) in the rear and two runs power and ground of that batt as well to the amp amp. I have a VFL150.1 wired at 1ohm on two xfl12s D4s

I need more power I'd like some advice if I should get HD12s D2s and wire down to .5 or sell the amp and go to a 200.1 which is going to be best on my electrical as well as give me the most gain in output

Yes im saying either keep my XFLs and run them on a 200.1 at 1ohm or get Hd12s dual 2s and run .5 on my 150.1

I just noticed i posted this in the classifieds

If u get d2 subs no matter what amp u have u will wite down to .5ohm... The vfl 150.1 will run .5ohm all day if u keep voltage 12.5v and up
I would keep the xfls and up power
Correct me if I'm wrong please as I'm still learning. If you had two dual 2 subs and you wired each to 1 ohm to a monoblock that has 4 total speaker wire inputs (pos neg pos neg) the amp would see 1 ohm, right?

You need two dual 4s to wire to 1ohm

But anyone with experience I have never personally run half ohm my XFLs can take my 150.1 @ 1ohm all day...it would be about the same cost to sell the xfls and get dual 2 HDs or sell my 150.1 and get a 200.1 and run it on my xfls whats a better choice? To get more output and for a daily setup ? I dont compete my enclosure is @32hz I love flex I love demoing and I like lows so keep that in mind

Most amps bridge them internally, but offer 2 sets of inputs for ease of install.

Flex is not a good thing. It is lost acoustic output

I understand this I just said im not competing so the loss in output is fine because my ears wont notice as well as the visual effects of flexing also mentally makes it louder ...but if you are getting dash flex in anycar its pretty dam loud regardless

he doesnt have to wire down to .5, he could wire it up 2 ohms. A good kicker amp would be good

Then he would have to buy a new am and new sub. He was trying to decide which to upgrade, not both at the same time.

He's running a pair of d4's, so he can't wire to 2 ohms right now.
