Wire down or Bigger amp?

So I have looked through countless threads about wireing down to .5 and what electrical is needed and people are back and forth so much on the topic I cant get a straight answer for my particular situation.

Im running a 150A alt, XS D4700 (50ah) up front big 4 done, here's where my setup is different than most people I have two runs of 4ga ofc 13' run to a XS xp3000 (120ah) in the rear and two runs power and ground of that batt as well to the amp amp. I have a VFL150.1 wired at 1ohm on two xfl12s D4s

I need more power I'd like some advice if I should get HD12s D2s and wire down to .5 or sell the amp and go to a 200.1 which is going to be best on my electrical as well as give me the most gain in output

I recommended the 200.1 based on the OP's intended useage. And basic statement that it would be enough power, (at 1 ohm) and work with his existing electrical.

In my experience, any time you have the same basic amps, and you run one at 1 ohm, the other at .5 ohm, the one that has been on 1 ohm, ( with some head room left) will generally last longer, and will have a cleaner output signal than the one run at .5 ohm constantly ( right on the edge of the amps capability at all times). And he stated this is for a daily system, that he likes to demo. Which also in my experience means, that this system will be slammin hard a good percentage of the time. So, I think an amp that can stay at 1 ohm and do the job satisfactorily is the best choice in this instance.

Not trying to challenge you, just explaining the thought process of my recommendation ...

Im not really talking about ohm loads just saying overall available power.

Thanks for the comments. .some good info here ..i will be keeping the XFLs I think the 200.1 is not a big upgrade but its around another 1000rms wired. At 1ohm and I dont think 2 xfls could take a 450.1 anyway
