Wire Direction ??

rca jacks are just terminals, same as any other speaker terminal, the pin is the positive terminal, and the jacket is the negative. Just regular wires like anything else.

I HAVE seen rca cables with directonal arrows, tho, i have no idea why, could have something to do with the way the strands are arranged, or braided, who knows. I have a monster cable SPDIF cable that has arrows, as well as a home theater subwoofer preamp rca interconnect that also has arrows.

Some wire is directional, for real^^^
No they aren't.

What they do have, that makes them "directional", is a ground wire that you're supposed to ground at one end. They're supposed to be grounded at the source unit side IIRC. But it's the grounding that makes them "directional", not the wire. The wire/interconnect itself is non-directional. But it's marketing more than anything, as I've yet to see any proof that the "drain wire" does anything useful in a car audio enviornment.

So to answer the original question....no, wire is not directional at all. Physical impossibility.

I once ran RCA cables, witout knowing they were directional, I had to pull them all out and rerun them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
