Romy the Cat got no love on the audio forums often clashing with with reputable people, hence time to create my own forum to attract the very few people that share similar ideas. /heheheWhile I agree with some of what the admin writes...he's got some issues.
Thank you! Its a few bucks and a couple hours of my time, if I hear no audible difference, then oh well it was worth a try. If I do, well than it WAS worthwhile //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gifOutput impedance is not always low //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I understand where you're coming from and I agree, but I don't think he should be discouraged from trying it either. Sometimes the best way to make something sink in is to hear it (or in this case, not hear it) for yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The only one thing that I find sweet was the custom Raal ribbon that was
made for him. It's very very nice.

Who me? Or Thylantyr? Cause I was the one wanting to give it a shot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI am just really surprised that MR. DIY isn't willing to try something new here.
To be honest, things are what you make it. There is validity to the argument that cables make an acoustic difference. But, that argument is very subjective and applies a lot in the mind. However, if a person using cable that isn't standard zip cord hears a difference then it is worth the price of admission for them.
In the true quest to perfect sound a lot of it is science, but a lot of it is very subjective and argumentative because of different perspectives. Not one method is satisfactory for everyone, otherwise we would all have single speaker tube setups, or high wattage line arrays, or small bookshelfs with small solid state amplifiers.
If one person hears something in a cable that another doesn't we really can't say either way if it makes a difference or not. Audio, just simply doesn't work that way.
Just my 2 cents.

He is the DIY guru...
You can easily show whether or not the wire actually has an affect on the signal over the bandwidth we human's are capable of hearing.I am just really surprised that MR. DIY isn't willing to try something new here.
