Motive is useful for investigators. The general public doesn't need to know. What are they going to do with the information other than form opinions about that group?

This is what I believe. I believe it is pointless for the general public to know. There is nothing we can do with the information. Is there? It's not about censoring anything or not being transparent. It's just not important for the general public to know. If it is really that important that you just NEED to know then you should be able to get that information through a FOIA request. But tell me, how does it help you to know that shooter was a ***** person.
