Who should pay for the psychiatric evaluations?

The person buying the gun would pay for the psych evaluation. If they want/need a gun that bad, then, an evaluation shouldn't be a problem. Insurance would most likely cover it anyway.

So you just said nothing will prevent mass shootings as if you want to do it, you will find a way but then say we need stricter laws to prevent it from happening. Your thoughts are all over the place.

I don’t like mass shootings any more than you do. The media needs to stop sensationalizing them as well. There’s a lot more factors in play than just having access to a gun legally.

A majority of the mass shootings that I've read about were all done by guns that were purchased legally. The Mandalay Bay shooter had 23 legally purchased weapons in the room and fired over 1,000 shots. He killed 60 and wounded another 460. I guess that he was just exercising his second amendment rights. I guess that we shouldn't even try to prevent things like this from happening. It's just part of life in America. The 2nd amendment gives us this right to own that many guns. Wait till it happens at a sporting event, amusement park, or another concert. After 9/11 a lot of rules got changed to try and prevent something like that from happening again on airplanes. The citizens of the United States own 42% of the civilian owned guns in the World. Yet, we are only about 5% of the World's population.

The only reason YOU are following along with the idiots is because it is a topic in the news. It's a different gun than the normal gun violence and they look so scary huh? So even though rifles aren't used the most, we should ban them because they make the news.
