Im trying to design a bandpass for my two 12 W/0's. Its going to be a trichamber design like in my other post. According to this guy http://www.diysubwoofers.org/bnd/trichamberbp.htm

the vented chamber should be twice the size of the vented chamber calculated for one driver. Winisd tells me that the vented chamber for one driver should be 2.048 ft^3 and the sealed should be 3.211 ft^3. That means the total sealed plus the total 2 vented sections will be 11.238 ft^3! That sounds ridiculously big, and i dont know how to do the calculations by hand. Help!

Depending on the driver, that might be about right. Bandpass enclosures are not small. Factor in the high Vas for the W0 series drivers and they end up not well suited for bandpass use especially in a tight location (like the cab of a reg cap truck?). I just ran the numbers on those through a spreadsheet off DIY and those numbers you gave are the optimum for those subs. Yes, that is a huge box, and yes, that is what those dirvers need for a 4th order bandpass.

If you are dead set on using those drivers (since you already have them) your best bet would be to go with a sealed box for use in the back of a reg cab. If, however you want a bandpass, you will need to go with different subs.

There 12" JL W/0's by specs you mean the T/S Parameters right?

The amount of space I have is pretty good I think.

Length- Roughly 40"

Width- 15" Exact

Height- Roughly 20"

So the 3.531 is total for both sealed sections and 1.766 for the ported section?

Sweet your awesome dude. As you probably know im a noob. Is a -3db gain at 32hz good? Sorry if i sound like an *** i just dont know. The last box i built i just kinda thought it up and went from there.

Is that for one or two? That sounds way too small for two of them. It is the exact same numbers I am getting for only one.
