i am using 8's ported in my new design. i was entering the subs into winisd, just to mess around with them a little. i came up with this. it's a 6th order, the front chamber is .3 cu ft. tuned at 50hz. the rear chamber is .9 tuned to 20 hz. it shows a fairly flat response, but i have questions as to how it would actually sound in a vehicle. not that many of us have ever built a 6th order. i might possibly waste my time, and see what happens.
doesn't look to bad to me, but winisd is doing some things i've never seen, nor understand, with the phase plot and group delay.
i've never understood any of it, but i know that i have never seen graphs like these when modeling up any other sub.
