just got it installed and i can already notice a difference over vista. i did a clean install and it worked perfectly. with vista, my wireless didnt work and my computer took about 3-4 times to boot correctly and it was slow as shit. problems are fixed now with windows 7.
i was running a hacked version of vista so that could have contributed to the problems i was having

I agree, Win7 is what Vista should have been in the first place. Start-up and shut-down take less than 15 seconds each, before shutting down on Vista could take minutes.

I thought it was pretty cool that even before I booted to the desktop for the first time, Win7 had already found and installed my wireless card adapter, and allowed me to connect to my network.

As long as they sent you an email with a link to the DL, then yes you can use it.

everythign is up and running smoothly, the only thing is i keep getting somethign crazy with my gfx card or monitor drivers or somethign

i can open a program up and it will start artifacting real bad, just a screen full of lines jumping around, after about 15 secs i can hit ctrl-alt-del and it will go to that and start working again

i just downloaded the newest driver form nvidia, the card is a 7900gt, never gave me any problems before, its not bothering me that bad right now, its done it maybe 4-5times, but i need it fixed

any thoughts?

Artifacts usually mean OC'd and the GPU can't handle it, or your fan is dying and the excessive heat is causing issues.

7900GT is a generation or two back, correct? I wouldn't be surprised if your fan was dying.

thanks man,i was thinking it was a driver issue, i remembered this car was OC'd from the factory, never thought that might be the problem

i put my OC tool back on and detuned it a little bit, it hasnt started artifacting yet ill see how it does for the long run

Ours said it would be a few weeks before that had it available, I already have my own cop on the way though.

Which one? The one in the OP and the one I'm getting from my University are both full retail versions.
