windows 7 home premium $29 (students)

If you install this, it would wipe out all the programs already on your computer, right? Basically like starting with a brand new pc?
not if you do an upgrade install... which would require the equivalent version of vista (premium for premium or pro for pro) ... but it's always better to do a clean install instead of an upgrade.

 
I got my confirmation email, and am downloading the file right now.

I was going to order this with my .edu email address until I saw that it was the upgrade version.

Can someone verify to me that you can do a fresh install with this copy instead of just an upgrade?
