Yes but they have their limits and they should stay to them. I think too many go over their authority but the public just isn't informed enough to know what they're allowed to do and not allowed to do.

I have heard that seatbelt thing, but I know that they can pull over for just a seatbelt, it can and does happen, and there is no law against it either, you are doing something illegal, and they can pull you over for it. But it depends on the cop and how their day is going, as with anything. I always wear my seatbelt, so I never have to worry about it.

You have to be specific when talking about the laws. In PA, not wearing your seatbelt is a secondary offense. That means that you can't be pulled over for that reason but once pulled over for ANY primary offense, any secondaries can also be prosecuted. But yup, seatbelt 100% the time here too. i hate cops..lol i have got 17 tickets in the last 2 years

nah but im NJ and tryin to get PA tags and ins so i wont get hrassed by the law..

FYI i only have 5% all around smoke tails, smoked tags etc...

also once i get hte PA tags im doing another layer of 5% and 35% on the windshield w/ a 10" 5% eye brow

A cop is allowed to do just about anything. I think too many civilians don't understand law enforcement.
