Strip the tint. Let them drop the ticket then re tint it. I am pretty sure they wont have record of you already getting pulled over for it since they will drop the ticket.

the guy i got my tint done told me he would charge me 60 bucks if i ever got pulled over for him to take it off, me leave and get the ticket dealt with and then come back to him to put it back on. So if i ever do get busted it will only cost me 60, im ok with that.

$60 tint

I guess it just depends on where you leave and the cops that are on duty. For instance, where I live I never get hassled and pass cops on a constand basis as they hang out at the gas station I pass every day. They recognize me and my car now and never mess with me. Going on 2 years living here now.

When I go visit my parents, who live in a ritzy township, I have to roll all the windows down anymore. If they are up, then I will get nailed! Have been pulled over twice in the same week, by 2 different cops and yeah, they let me go, but the hassel me about it everytime. I hate visiting my mom. Funny thing is I grew up there and lived most of my teenage years and even bought a house there and know most of the cops. I didn't know these last two, but what I think helps me get out of a ticket is me telling the cops, "hey tell Ricky, Bobby and silly sally hi from me. I know most of the higher ups there...........hopefully anymore these young cops start to remember my car. Oh yeah and it helps having the baby in the back seat, lol!

By the way I have 20% all around, which reads like 17% on a tint meter.

When that happened to me i told the the car was down and went to a local tint shop got a receipt saying i paid to have tint removed and took that to the judge lmao.
Yeah I thought about that, here you have to go get your car inspected and bring the paper to the courthouse showing that it passed. Dunno if I can talk anyone into passing it the way it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i got one last weekend myself. CVC 26708A. resticted or obstructed view.

i'm in california. 5% over the factory tint in the rear, 15% on the fronts, and 50% on the entire windshield. too dark for calio. just fine for arizona.

when i first bought my whip, it had like 45% tint on the windows, which is basically no tint, i got pulled over for a stop sign violation, the cop was a *** and metered my tint, it read like 45% and he said legal for the front 2 windows is like 75%. i was like wow dude your fvcking gey. then i re-tinted to 5% all around and havent been stopped. some cops are just douche bags

The cop that stopped me was a pretty nice guy. Most of the time you get shitty ones that have the whole I'm a cop attitude going on. I haven't been pulled over for anything in about 6 years though so I guess I was just due. I'll probably try to get my truck inspected somewhere, if they wont pass it I'll pull the tint off get the inspection done and retint it with 15% again. I understand why cops hate it, dark tint is dangerous for them, they could walk up to a car with a gun pointed at them and not even know it. I put my windows down as soon as I got pulled so he could see me though.

being that i am pursuing a career in law enforcement, i am well aware of the dangers it presents. a lot of people arent smart enough or respectful enough to roll down the windows, turn on the interior lights, and shut off the vehicle like you or i would, and that is why they issue tickets to those with dark windows. my ticket was well deserved. i chose to have them that dark knowing it was illegal.

One more question about this. If I put my windows down and unplug the power windows. Will my car pass inspection since they can't put the windows up and see the dark tint? Could also just pull the fuse out for the power windows/locks.

doubt it

they make you take it to a mechanic to have them "fix" the problem
