Window Tint ticket today :(

Got pulled over today and given a ticket for my tint. The fine is $40.00 + court costs which are $120.00 more. If I go get my front windows legal and have my Blazer inspected they will throw the ticket away, no fine. What should I do?

cheap out and peal the tint off then put some new ones on at a later date.

$200 tint > $140 ticket.

I've had 5% all around my car (with black leather interior which makes it look super dark) and only been hassled about it maybe twice.

Only the front 2 windows are illegal. I can strip those off myself. Go get my truck inspected. Have the ticket taken care of without having to pay a fine, then have them retinted. What I'm basically asking is, when I do this, should I put it back on dark, or go legal with 35% on the front windows? When the cop metered me today they were 18% on the front.

what you should do after you get this figured out is get the *** end of that thing up. it looks like its a LOT lower in the rear

Yeah I like the wider stance the ZR2 package gives it, but I think when it's time to do tires again I'm gonna try to get some 33x12.50's on it. I think they will look better. Stock tires now are 31x10.50.

It doesn't actually look lower in the back so I dunno whats up with that in the pic...Either I had a lot of weight back there that day or I parked on a hill.

retint it legally. What are the chances of you getting pulled over again for you illegal tint and the judge might not be so easy this time. But usually if you tell them u'll take it off then they'll throw away the ticket.

Why even tint them if you're gonna drive around with the windows down all the time. I like my AC, heat index was over 100 today.

I have 5% all around. I have been pulled over for it 6 times and only got one ticket. Usually when the officer asks me if there is a reason why my windows are so dark I go off on a rant about the benefits of having window tint and they end up just telling me to take it off and let me go.

Put on 35% 2"BL, crank the torsion bars a little, shackles out back and run 33's.

I had 20% on my caprice and was pulled over within 3 days of getting it done. I was told to remove it, show them and pay no fine. I did that then tinted them again with 35%. A few days later I get pulled over by the same cop after leaving work. He pulls me over and says, "I thought I told you to take the tint off?" I told him I had and that I re tinted them. He let out a sigh and left.
