Will this weird port effect tuning?

Im going to build a slightly smaller sub enclosure with the subs pushed back a bit (for clearance reasons), and tune a bit lower. I'm just simply curious if a box design like this will effect the tuning of the box due to the angled port face.

Would i have to calculate the port length as an average distance of the edge of the box and the end of the port (where the subs mount)?

Yeah, it will be fine. Just draw a diagonal line connecting the corners of the opening and measure down the middle. That will give a pretty good estimate of the effective length.

you may want the space between the speakers to be a little bit more. looks like they are right up against each other

Would it be possible to do something like this?:

I think that would be a better option as it allows more surface area for glue with it being a quad baffle and the port wall only being single (unless this is how it is right now -- it's kind of hard to tell). It will also keep the pressure from the cone from affecting part of the air mass in the port. The effective port air mass will extend beyond the baffle and the air will head in the direction of the sub. It may get disturbed on its return path back to the port wall and there may be turbulence that may be audible. I would just not risk it and would just extend the port wall.

^^^ do what the guy like 3 posts up said, just throw in a little wall there before the subs, even if its fairly thin wood
