I recently bought an amp and it has a dirty/broken gain pot if I install it will it cause problems like the gain not setting right? I was thinking of just taping it because if I hold it, it plays normal. lol. I tried finding the pot on the internet but I had no luck or if it has is a special name for it and there is another name for it. It says 3b20k

if you can adjust it and it stays put and it doesn't fluctuate and mess with the gain you should be ok. if it jumps up and down and you can't adjust it i wouldn't touch it or id see if you can send it somewhere to get fixed. (if its worth it)
