My current amp is 400x1 @ 4ohms. This one is 800x1 @ 4ohms.

Im thinking about getting it, if i can sell my current amp that is.

ROCKFORD FOSGATE 801S

200 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms

400 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms

800 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms

stereo or bridged mono output

4-ohm stable in bridged mode

Tri-Way capable

wiring and hardware not included with amplifier — we recommend an 8-gauge amp wiring kit with a 60-amp fuse

50-250 Hz high-pass/low-pass (12 dB/octave) crossovers

MOSFET power supply and output devices

MEHSA mounting technology increases the heat transfer from the MOSFET output devices to the heat sink, for higher power output, lower operating temperatures, and greater reliability

TOPAZ — noise-killing differential inputs that eliminate 80% of ground loop noise

*****•ana circuitry keeps preamp voltages low and signal paths simple for outstanding audio quality

NOMAD — advanced protection circuitry for "intelligent" shutdown protection

wired remote included for fingertip control of Punch Bass (0-18 dB boost at 45 Hz)

speaker- and preamp-level inputs

17-1/16"W x 2-7/16"H x 9-7/8"D

1-year warranty

Anybody wanna buy my amp ? heh. I think this one would work much better. As my current setup is only giving me half of what i need.

My current amp is: 1 Pioneer Premier PRS-X720 Amp 400watt x 1 @ 4ohms

Im powering 2 10" Pioneer Premier 800watt / 400watt RMS speakers. Dual coils, 2ohms or 8 ohms, or bridged to 4 ohms.

Im not making this post to sell my amp, just an suggestion and i wont need this amp if i get this Rockford one...which i think i should?

Well you see i bought it used, it works great but i didnt get the birth sheet. And yeah I know this amp puts out a world average of like 650 watts RMS @ 4ohms x 1.

But it does not sound nearly as good as some of my friends or even my sisters setup with a kicker 400.2 amp and alpine type r 12".

Originally posted by Jmac LOL, look at your birthsheet man ... I have numerous birthsheets showing the PRS-X720 doing in excess of 800 RMS @ 4 ohms mono :p

However, if you want to downgrade to the Rockford, I'll be glad to take it off your hands //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
How much ?

Well when i try to wire it into 4 ohms..., it wont let me put the speaker wire to the + side on the L and the - side on the RIGHT for a bridged 4 ohm load. I have the speakers wired correctly, + from speaker 1 and 2 together, and - from speaker 1 and 2 together, and on each some, + and - together.

I can only hitch it up to the amp from the L + and the R+, otherise just either the R + and - or, the L + and -.

Maybe something is wrong that I am nothing noticing? I did install it myself, so...

Maybe it'd have to go with my ground not begin good enough? not sure...
