whats a good amplifier for the sub,and do you think it would sound better than the 2 rockfords?

Any amplifier that does a reliable 1,500 - 2,000 watts rms would be fine. I can't recommend a specific amplifier without knowing more about the sub.

I don't know if it'll be better than your RF's. I don't know which RF's you have.

better is a relative statement...but with the proper power and enclosure, that xxx can get extremely loud

the xxx is a dual 2 ohm configuration and idk if that amp is stable down to one ohm so i would go with another amp for it.. an AQ2200d would be great for that sub i think. or maybe a sundown SAZ-1500D

You don't know what the voice coil config is, man. The likelihood of this sub being the current model XXX is 1 in a million. Noone would be stupid enough to sell a new-ish model XXX 15" for $150...

The OP just linked the craiglist ad for me. It's the old model XXX 15" and the seller is totally clueless. He doesn't even specific it's voice coil config and at one point he mentions JBL W7's.

Asking price is $205. OP, go to the dude's house. Take someone knowledgeable with you and let them test the sub with a dmm. If the coils aren't blown, buy it.
