Go with 2 of these off that sony amp at 2ohm stereo. I was looking at them at local stereo shop and the hit pretty hard for shallow mount subs. They work in .5ft^3 sealed and everything.

Decent sub. The rockford is gonna be a bit louder IMO. The kicker like you mentioned will be underpowered. Just google search shallow mounts 10" and you will have lots of luck.

yes nice sub, even tho the company (more so the owner) is not on most peoples top 10 list to say the least. Do a search on Elemental Designs Ben, if you want to know the story. Good sub tho for the $$ that is the shipped price to i think.
