Will the big 3 even help me

its prly like a 60 or 80 amp

get battery tested if bad replace it, do big 3 regardless in 4ga, if u wanna fuse it which u dont have to just do like 120amp and u will be fine

also add a battery to frame and battery to chassi

 
hey i just checked my alternator at idle with a voltmeter and im putting out a constant 12.9-13.0 volts with my headlights, heater, amp on (59 degrees Fahrenheit outside)

when i rev the engine up to higher rpms my headlights get brighter as the voltmeter reads 14+v which would seem normal. (or should they remain constant???)

As for my constant 12.9 volts which it never drops below is this good????

Im going to do the big 3 but im completely out of money so i was wondering how my setup is currently how it stands?

 
12.9-13V may either be the alternator putting out a low voltage or it may be all battery voltage youre reading, probably alternator since the battery would sag quick with all that load on.

The alternator could be working 'normally' but by design its idle output is low, You could try to find another alternator that has a higher idle output, or you could try to find a smaller pulley for the alt to raise its speed at idle.

sounds like your idle may be a little low actually. raise idle by 50- 100 rpm and see if anything changes

edit: what have you got it set @ now?
