Will regular grills fit on Kicker Comps?

I like the way the kicker grills look but they are pretty steep in price! At this time I would rather not dump the money to get them. I do have 2 - 12" Kicker Comp VR's on the way though. I have the regular 12" waffle grills already though.

I was wondering if these would fit on the Kicker subs? At least for the near future...

if you have 12 inch grills and 12 inch kickers, it will work perfectly.

ok...But I've heard a couple times that here are new subs that regular grills wont on for some reason...maybe they stick out too far. Just wanted to double check.

in high excursion subs they dont because the surround or the cone will just hit it.
