ok guys heres my question...i have 2 15" AA Avas in my posetion and am getting an Orion 2500D...i will have the big 3 upgrade...but will just one optima yellow top undernieth the hood be enough juice? or will i need to add a second in my trunk...?

just guessing the alt power on that car is around 90amps at most? i'd say no.

Adding a second will likely worsen the situation....I would add an HO alternator before anything else...

No you won't be. I ran a JL 1000/1 and a 300/4 in my 4runner for a while with stock 80 amp alternator and a yellow top under the hood and it would run out of juice after about 15 minutes at most and dimming was horrible. Granted I hadn't done the big 3 but that still wouldn't have fixed my problem. So I saved up for a 220 amp Iraggi and everything has been tits since.

220amp FTW, irragi 220amp FTL. that's only b/c i had bad experience with waiting forever.

i have a iraggi 280 amp no problems yet got it super fast.. during the group buy and a hell of a deal on it thorugh the gb i think i paid like just over 300$ with the 30% discount, he runs those often if you keep your eyes open... and i would have to agree a ho alt would be best. def change to a better battery than stock though. me personally i would not touch a yellow top or run one for free right now. we stopped selling the yellows they have been repeatedly going bad and we are def not the only ones saying this its on a bunch of forums and other shops we know have the same issues... just fyi.
