5% tint and the law

I've got 20% on all windows except my windshield, but it's just too light. I'm gonna get 5% all around and 20% on the windshield, but my question to you guys is, have any of you ran into trouble with the cops because of your tint? It seems like many people have 5% all around and get by fine. Even better, has anyone in Louisville done this and got by fine?

I know the law says youre not supposed to have any tint over the front window. Except for the shade strip. But I dont see why they would really give you trouble over 5% all over the rest of the car. Unless you catch a cop on a bad day.

And I wouldnt even show them the reciept if you got pulled over. I would just tell them I bought it that way.

I have 15% and I have never had any problems with the law

It looks really dark. I have had cops look at me while sitting next to me at night and never say anything.

Yeah I have 15% all on my front 2 windows and back, and 5% on the side and tint strip. I have had no porblems withe cops.

I got busted for 35% on the sides... Wisconsin troopers are the biggest asshats anywhere... Down south i wouldnt think its much of a problem

28% on the driver and passenger windows and a strip cant take up more than 1/4 of the windsheild.

Troopers/HP ****.. I never had problems with local po po's at all... & days after i tinted my car .. There he wascreepin up on my side to see if i had tint then dropped behind me and put on his cherries.. What a douchebag.. 35%!!! you can see right through the car, it's actually that light

i no its nothing .. Thats why i got pissed when he told me it had to come off... Im like wtf man, you can see right through the f'n car... He dont llike me much anyways.. We've had run ins in the past, but still everyone knows this guy is 100% *******

Everytime I get pulled over the Police meter my windows (a little meter with a slot in it that slides over the top of your window). So im stuck with keeping my windows legal...35 on the front roll up windows and since I have a truck I have a double layer of 5% on the back glass.

Depends on the state. Here in Kentucky you get a 4 inch windshield strip and 20% all around legally.
