dude, I moved up later on to Alpine 6x9 Subwoofers in the back of my 1982 Chevy Cavalier. It had no door locations for 6.5's so I pulled out the headliner that was falling down anyways and mounted a baffle board to the ceiling and mounted alpine 6.5's up there....ghetto but hardcore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I'm sorry, but you aren't being very intelligent over this. You need to read over basic electric principles.
Attempting to pull 150+ amps (2000 watts off of 12-13 volts) through 5 gauge wire is going to fry the wire. It will blow the fuses (if you have any), melt the wires, and possibly cause a fire in the car.

Trust me when I say take the **** time.

Also, Eclipse subs are fairly nice, I'd much rather have one of them than yours. Kicker subs do not sound good. The prefab kicker ported box is NOT custom. It's a pos that needs to be burned. I don't care that your in high school, while I was in high school, two jobs, a girlfriend, and more AP classes than I could count, family troubles, I managed time to put together an IB setup involving cutting up the rear of my trunk. I know how it is, you have time, you're just lazy and spend the time on a forum instead of doing it when you can. Then you get busy and use it as an excuse.
