Will my ELECTRICAL be OK?

I plan on running a MTX Audio TA7801 and JL 300/2, the car is a 2001 Honda Accord 4-banger.

I plan on doing the BIG-3. Does anyone think I'll need to get a new battery? If so, what kind? Would an Optima be OK?

Right now I'm running an MRD-M605 along with my 300/2, and my lights do dim, but my voltage NEVER drops below 13.5

Optima D34 Yellowtop and the big 3 is a good start. Then onto a HO Alt.

Throw a kinetik in the back, as you can mix that with your stock battery, and it'll be fine. As long as you know what your doing, you'll be fine.. you just have to learn to stop licking the battery terminals

rofl all you really need is the one yellow top and the big three man, i wouldn't even get the 2nd battery unless you plan on running the tunes with the car off.

gelcell batt should be fine. I would go kinetik instead of Optima yellowtop though, yellowtops recharge much slower than kinetiks

get a good batt up front and do the big 3 in 0 gauge....you'll be fine. Your amp won't continuously put out 1800 watts since music is dynamic (obviously). It also depends on how hard you're going to have to push that amp...what subs are you going to be running to it?

well poo poo, that is a lot. If you are that against the prospect of a HO (and I don't blame you) then I would go another route.

If I did the BIG-3 would I be ok? Or would I have to upgrade my battery for that amp too?

i would go agm type battery like a kinetik just because they dont need water, dont corrode and last but not least perform better..
