will my alternator survive??? please advise, i know nothing

Ok, i went down to the only local stereo shop here in town and talked to the owner. He's been installing for 20 yrs so I hope i can trust his opinion. He said that an amp to run the 4 speakers wouldn't really draw a whole heck of alot since its gonna be set with the high pass filters on anyway. He said its the bass is what really draws the power and that I wouldnt hardly see any trouble adding an amp for the highs. I have no dimming or any problems what so ever right now. So I think i will go for it. He has a 2 channel Jl 360.2 dirt cheap. So i might do that and run the 4 speakers at 2 ohm. I realize i loose fading, but not worried about it. The price is pretty hard to pass up. Another quick question, does 2 ohm draw any more or less power?

You should be just fine running that setup with stock electrical. My DSC4125 draws less than 50 amps at full tilt which should be ~750rms.
