Will i need a HO alt. with this setup??

Will have 0gauge big 3, yellow top, and stock 120amp. alt but running 3000-4000rms daily. obviously its a good idea but is anybody running a similiar set up and stock alt? thanks

Cant' imagine you not needing a bigger alt with that kind of power, especially if you plan on using it.

I'd def try to get a 300 amp alt. I ran 2400 watts daily on stock alt and fried it.

um yeah youu can probably run it but you wont get 3500-4000 watts liek you want. Not to mention your alt will proabbly die.

heres a question about alts...... if u are runnin an amp at of too high power for a stock alt.... will stuff not play correctly amp skip notes... etc.... or will it just not be as loud because the amp is choking for power?

i dont know, i think a 300amp is a bit ridiculous, but i was pricing a 180 from iraggi. most people run 200's but for the price difference i think a 180 should suffice. how about caps? i know 1 farad is too small but is 5 farad too large? thanks for the input
