What else can I do?

This is my first post so I hope I am doing this right.I have been out of the car audio scene for a long time.I just installed 4 15's in my Expedition. They are in a sealed box and facing up toward the roof. The problem is this:my roof, rear hatch and sides of the car vibrate and rattle like crazy!I just ordered 40 sq.ft of sound deadener but i do not think this is going to take care of the roof problem because it moves ALOT!I am also worried that as much as the back glass is moving I am afraid it is going to fall out.I am sure there are all kinds of links on here about this but I am very computer stupid!Any ideas would be very helpful. I am thinking about building a wall over top and on 3 sides of the subs.Is this a good idea?will it help the roof?will it help the back glass?will it sound like crap? Please help

a lil info about the system would help like what kind of subs and amps..also i doubt your windows will fall out..worse comes to worse it may leak when it rains or snows..rattin is part of this hobby bro..since your new here i dont know if you been to this site if you havent check it out you'll see what i mean about rattling

http://realmofexcursion.com/ click videos on top theres alot of them keep you busy all nite..you'll see what you call problems are things weve learned to live with..lol although i know what you mean a friend of mine has a grand marquis and it sounds like someone is trapped in his trunk knocking on it to be let out..lol

Thanks for the link. That is some pretty wild stuff.Has anyone here ever heard the difference in a system with a wall built over the subs vs. no wall? What effect did it have on the sound? And Thank You guys for the welcome.

lol don't worry you don't sound stupid.

You never stated what equipment you have right?

The Magnum 15 is made by Stereo Integrity. They are awesome drivers, sound great, and get **** loud, and will do good in sealed enclosures.

I was just saying that if you did a direct drop in with 4 of these in your current box (post specs please) it would probably be very NICE, very NICE to say the least.

low-hz.com carries them

Oh yeah I guess I did forget to post what I have. It's really nothing high dollar but it sounds good(minus all the outside vibes from the roof, which you dont hear that much inside the car)I have a sony head unit,4 15"o2 audio subs, lanzar 6x8's in the 4 doors with an alpine v12 amp for the doors and a o2 3000.1 for the subs.I have the o2 amp running at 1 ohm which I believe is 2300 watts rms.Oh yeah I also have 2 o2 1"tweeters that I still need to install.

do you mean oz audio im not to familiar with 02?

expeditions, explorers rattle like crazy.. the deadener will help you out..

but im gonna suggest some foam for the panels back there.. ive heard that helps a lot depending on where you use it..

you might be able to get a more solid seal on the glass by adjusting the clamp in the hatch..

the roof is gonna flex.. you can add some wood strips or something under the liner, but those then become illegal if you ever compete.. and usually they cap the deadener at 2 layers.

but i wouldnt worry so much about roof flex for now as i would quieting the panels up somehow.. deadener may do the trick.. it may not.. tell us when youre done trying it out

wish i could help more.. i havent tried much of anything in trying to stop my rattling.

No its o2 audio. It's funny that you say that though because I wanted to run OZ but my budget did not allow it.I had put 2 12's from o2 in my wifes eclipse and was very happy with them so I put the same thing in my truck. Also thanks for the tips about the foam, but what kind of foam are you guys using?
