will car be able to keep or burn alts?

its a stock alt on a 98 corvette let me google it and find out...will car last or just burn alts all day long? cause i will need to get the money to be able to do big 3

You should be ok with a 110amp, but I would trust it to long and keep an eye on it. I killed one a while back. A 110amp also with a NINe.1, then again they are not efficient and i think the alty was goin bad already...

I've got ~1kw daily on my stock 117A alt (98 model year) and no big-3 (only battery negative to chassis.) No dimming and steady voltage.

I ran 1080w on a ford (mitsubishi) 110A alt with an old Wal-mart battery in a car with a fairly demanding stock electrical system. The only wiring upgrade I did was add an 8 ga from the alt to batt (+). I never saw a voltage below 13.8v - that was system blasting, headlights on, fog lights on, a/c max. VERY slight dimming with bass heavy music at high volume.

ok so switch alt to bat wire to larger gauge and then im going to do negative to chasis and i should be set thx guys
