I currently have 4 gauge wire running to my amp i don't think its true 4 gauge it seems more like 6 or 8. I want to get 0 gauge just to be safe, but since its so thick will it fit into my terminals on my amp? Also what size inline fuse should i get, my amp is 1000w rms.
or you could get a 1/0 to 4 gauge reducer..

The inline fuse protects the wire. Not the amp with 1000 watts a cca wire in 0 gauge would be fine. And your cheapest way to go since its about $2 per foot for true 0 gauge cca. If you plan to go much bigger later , say 2500 rms or more then get ofc wire. But it's $4-$8 per foot for it also get the reducer they are $10 each
