Why the hate on Audiopipe ASPM models??

I never said that. But if you really sit down and listen across the volume range you should hear quality. If you cant then it dont matter
You dont have to say it, we both know its true

I will never understand the SQ part of any Class D amp over 1k, but ppl just like to argue

the only aps I have seen have been in the classifieds.... I dont really look at their new models.
Their new models roll out of the same factory your SAZ did. (Well maybe Sundown uses a factory down the road from the ones some of the other places use. Slightly different board layouts, but it still designed by that build house and that design will be sold to other companies to resell.)

L-O-L. I view it as a kind of sketchers vs. nike. They are both shoes, but you don't get bitches wearing sketchers.
Think of it however you want. There isn't a lick of difference between them.

This dont mean anything. it dont mean the same parts go in
.... it wouldn't necessarily mean that. They are in fact the same parts, and board layouts... but you're right it wouldn't HAVE to mean that. (except for the new Saz-1500. I haven't seen anyone else use that layout yet.)

I love my APSM's...and I used to own a Sundown 1200 and 50.4

For the cost, plus the size they are well worth the money. There's no reason to call them junk, you get what you pay for simple as that. I have 2 single cab trucks so they are perfect for me.

All this information is coming from a guy who runs overpriced overhyped dc amps, and drives a piece of **** plastic toyota, lol. So you can expect his argument to be invalid

I seriously think that people should realize that some people are on a smaller budget than others. I know that there are some people on this forum that have rocking full time jobs, make decent money, provide for their family and all the bells and whistles. Of course when you have the money, you might as well run some better ****. Why not? But then there are people like me who are still college students who work part time jobs and have to allocate money quite a bit more than some. I'm 100% sure anybody somebody was offered a SA 1500 vs a ASPM1500, they would take the SA any day, including me.

I can't drop the $550 for a 1500

That amp alone, costs more than my ENTIRE sub system. OA15, custom sub box, ASPM-1500, RockFord Fosgate 4 Gauge wiring kit, PLUS extra installation for bass knob and speaker wire....and I'd STILL have $55 left over....

So why pay so much when you just want incremental bump?

Of course if your going for straight dB, your going to run the best you can buy.

But somebody that wants decent under 140dB bass (like me), would rather pay as little as possible while still getting the level of bump I desire. My setup, has yielded me everything I wanted in a sub system. I got a 15 that I never knew could get this loud, and lets remember, that its in a ****** box where the port is 3x too small for the sub, more like 3.3cubes and ****** speaker wire..

If you need something decent that gets the job done, get a honda, if you need something that gets the job done and then more, get a mercedes!

I agree with your post accept that apsm is a pretty nice amp. I know it's dirt cheap but I don't know that i would just instantly pass it up for the sundown. No offense to sundown but there isn't a lot of difference in output. Maybe if you try to run them well below the rated impedence you'd notice a difference. (The AP would likely catch on fire and the sundown would keep on trucking) but if not there isn't much difference.

Its not just about the numbers. its about how long a amp will maintain those numbers. how it controls heat and keeps effecient. Its about have the amp work everytime you turn it on over the long run.

If AP is all you can afford have at it. Or you could wait a bit more and get something better. Everything dont have to come at once. The best part of this hobby is getting there.

AP now is the same as all the other korean amps out there man. The problem with this hobby is people are so brand loyal. If you would pay attention you'd know that they all come from the same place. They all have the same board layouts and same parts. The only differences are the cases.

APSM is not a korean board though so even though it is the topic, that's not what i'm referring to. I was merely responding to his statement.
