Who cares? Its jsut stuff!

I wouldn't care its just stuff. You are basically arguing for banishing the criminal justice system and allowing people to take matters into their own hands. For society that is a major step backward.

You really might living in Iran.

No shit, but it still doesn't justify what the guy did. I didn't say they were angels, I just made the point that perhaps we should weigh the loss... a few hundred dollars worth of consumer goods or a human life.
faulkton, in some ways i agree, in others i disagree.

I understand your point, that you should let the legal system do its job, and that if we let this slide, then hell why not let everything slide.

But the problem is, the legal system is not perfect, far from it. You of all people should know with that avatar. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How did the guy even know they weren't friends of his neighbor?
I can think of several times when i 'broke into' my friend house to borrow something and could have been perceived as burglarizing if seen by someone who didn't know it was ok with the owner of the house.
if u break into ur friend's house then perhaps u should get shot

i care. i worked my a$$ of for the stuff i have, as well i hope u did to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif it really pisses me off when i work 2 jobs to afford the stuff i have and some lazy punk comes by and takes what i've worked so hard for. thats just my opion though.

they're racist since they don't let me use that word. But for every race out there there are ppl that bring that race down. Same for white, asians, or hispanics. That's just the way it is, there are good and bad in every race. What i said is perhaps a label and u can view it as racist if u wish. But really it is just an easier way to discern which is which. And besides, Chris Rock agrees, so it must be true
bigger and blacker is hilarious.

it also deals with this type of issue too.

like i said, i was wrong on my first statment. but u gotta agree, the lazy a$$'s that can't work for they're stuff will get a slap on they're hand. (unless they are allready being looked for.) what's that going to teach them. nothing. they'll be right back doing the same crap a month later.

very true. parent's now-adays just plane ****. you should see some of the ones that come into where i work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif
the job market isn't so immaculate that everyone can have a job... not everybody can be summed up as lazy... sometimes the job can even get you enough

he said he saw them smash a window with a crowbar. I don't think they were friends.

Stuff you can get back... life can not be refunded or regained

that's how it is living in Cali //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

not everyone is lazy. but i consider the ones that break into someone else's house to take a dvd player or a tv to be lazy. people that have fallen on hard times tring to make ends meet, looking for a job is far from lazy.

Okay... one more for you.

Lets say it wasn't just a few things... but everything you have. Lets also say your insurance didn't cover a *large* portion of it. Say, for instance, you ran a home based business and that sort of thing isn't covered by home-owners. Lets say you got cleaned out. But... you owe people money for the inventory, lets just say it's alot -- over $100k, interest bearing. Basically, the robbery would screw you up for the rest of your life. It's not just stuff... that would be your life, ruined. Stuff can be "more than just stuff."

Now... it's the principle. These guys weren't pulling a huge heist that day... but they get away with it today, who says they won't move up to big jobs? They probably will, if they got away.

I'm not arguing to banish the system. But, if someone witnesses some stuff going down you can't expect them to just SIT there -- especially if it is right next to them and someone they know well being affected.

Maybe you disagree *shrugs* thats fine. If my neighbor was being robbed and I could do something about it, I would. But maybe I give a crap about my neighbors and you don't? Maybe killing them wasn't the best idea... of course, with a shot-gun aiming at certain areas is a bit hard.
