I am not saying blacks do not have opportuntites, but I do think that it is a little foolish to say that white people are more intelligent than black people simply because they have more degrees per capita.
Agreed...after seeing some of the people who are granted a degree, I agree even more.

If you consider ROI, I would be much further ahead this point if I had stayed at Lowe's instead of going to college. I guess some would consider me dumb for opting for retail management vs. a college degree. If ever seen a store manager's bonus check...you think about those things rather differently.

Can't disagree there...I guess I should have been more specific...

Exactly, I have seen people with advanced degrees that were idiots.

In contrast, some of the most intelligent people I have met had relatively little formal education.

Beyond that, I would tend to think that in most cases nurture > genetic predisposition.

What does a father have to do with anything?
My father could care less if I graduate high school, college, or got my masters as long as I don't ask him for anything. I know this because he told me so.
but your father was there. what about all those single mothers out there, im sure its more difficult to provide opportunities for your children with you're raising them by yourself.

it seems there are fewer and fewer fathers and more baby daddys

HUH? are you not the one who opened this thread? And i didnt spread any racist propaganda, I asked a question
I was trying to point out the continued injustices my people face and i dont appreciate you coming in here to put my race down.

That was why I commented, he started 2 threads contaning remarks about blacks, or basicly black topics, I was just trying to figure out if he himself has an issue with blacks??

I do have an issue with blacks, I LOVE THEM!

Get over it you racist.

Also learn to spell.

where did I cross the line, or , what was it i said that may have put me on your list of reckoning?
You crossed the line when you said racism is funny.

Oppression and the struggle of an underprivileged class is no laughing matter.

How would you like it if you were on the wrong end of the racism stick..

You should really think before you post.

Try acting like Sally and john for a while and maybe some black people will like you.

I do not see how not reading books, how not paying attention in class, how not talking with teachers and guidance counsellors is a function of not having a father.

There are signs about ACT/SAT on the walls of every school in America. Every child in our county recieved FAFSA / TN lottery scholarship information from the state representative...How do I do this, because as an intern I stuffed the 3 or 4000 envelopes so I would know each and every child who graduated that year had some information about college opportunities.

We have seveal students who are homeless and I personally deliver those packets to the various shelters.

I still don't see how them having vs. not having a father reduces their opportunities. A father could create more, but cannot diminish existing ones.

So in essence, you are saying is that those without a father start off behind those who have one.
