i watch enough and follow enough of it to actually know what is going on thank you very much.......i laugh at rush , o'reilly and laugh a lot at glen beck.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif it is all a spin. now if you are saying that one can be too liberal i will agree but at the same time a lot of conservatives are not what they say they are and often fall into the very categories that they soap box about.......after all them dems really hate nascar fans lmao
Give me an example.

best example will be between now and the election of 08......it has been talked about a couple of months ago but wont be released until it will have the biggest effect. also the spin of the nascar story where the Dem's had shots to go to a couple nascar races....the real reason they had shots was due to the fact of the clinics they visited.........not because they dislike nascar fans.

i view myself as more conservative than a real liberal but more realistic than phony conservative propaganda. i also like being able to question without ridicule without having to have someone else point out a fundementalists fault that isnt even ABOUT the topic in question. meaning i do not care about gay rights, abortion or anyother BS. THE best people and ideas for the job is what i believe. i also think that if a government official is sponsered and or bills are sponsered by corperate or other groups that the amount of money being sponsored, who specifically is putting up the money, who they are tied too and the bill being wrote up for that should be public knowledge.

Nice example that hasnt come out yet:p The Nascar story aired on Fox news and they explained the situation. I totally agree on your last point regarding records being open to the public.

Well, I read the entire thing (like it matters anyway) and what my conclusion on it is simply that they are trying to make you think about what you are reading and question its content or the beliefs behind it. If you simply answer the dumb questions and move on to the next topic, you are not challenging yourself to "think and express" your views.

From different views comes new and sometimes provocative ideas. From that comes research and advancement. That is what you are suppose to get out of University.

I bet if you went into class and questioned the instructor on how you perceive the article to be (whether it be positive or negative), you would probably generate some conversation with your peers. Some profs actually like to see that sort of thing take place.

i just thought you all might want to know that she is no longer in the class.
She wasnt there the last few classes and yesterday i noticed that her name was removed from the lab book.

Not sure what happened but i am glad she is gone.
Disaster narrowly avoided!

(Keep the vest handy for the next few days, just in case!)

I thought I had explained myself. Youll will get enough votes. Had to vote for the people that might not get the votes. I guess all in all it really didnt matter who i voted for. hmmm
The sad thing is that many people who have shown they cannot handle just being a member, and only contribute spam in the OT section seem to be picking up the majority of the votes.

Are you saying I couldn't handle being a moderator? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif this is mostly true. You never know though, they might change?

You're right, he encourages debate and is actually a great prof. I have really enjoyed every class i have taken with him.

Because it American Government, it's full of freshman, and is actually a rather large class with maybe 35 people. The other 3 classes I've had him for, have had like 10-14 people and 25% of your grade was determined by class participation. He actually kept track of every time anyone said something in a little book.

This class, due to its size and composition, doesn't have that same element to it. The first half of the class he talks about a news article or an editorial that relates to what he will lecture on during the last half of the class. For the most part, everyone is quiet and doesn't say shit. Me, i sit in the back and quietly fact check everything he says and read the entire article he is referring to. I talk, but only when i am certain i have a good point of contention. Since he is intelligent, i do not talk very often.

I was mostly intrigued by the inflammatory nature of his writing. His headlines are full of charged words and ideas, but the paragraphs are tempered with things most people are in favor of. It seemed strangely familiar.
