Indeed.I hate every candidate every year. The entire political system is a complete farce and full of corruption, bringing the validity of an individuals vote to basically nil.
That's a bad trip waiting to happen. The first time i saw Gummo i was high on acid. Maybe that's why i think it's so great.
I did the exact same thing, anybody thats independant and wants to vote in the primaries should reg up a party so they can take part.Independent, registered as a republican to have a voice in the primary. That is all
party trumps person. the second a candidate gets into office, everything they ran on flies out the window and they tend to vote with their party. what you assert is the logical way to vote, but in politics, voting person by person is moot.I'm independant. Anyone who votes for someone based on the party that they represent is a fool. I vote for who I think will do the most good for the country. I look at what their stand is on the issues that are current, and what they plan on doing if elected. I also look at what they have accomplished before they started to run for president, or whatever they are running for. I also look into the thinks they said that they would accomplish, but didn't and why.
Agreed but a paradigm shift can only be given sufficient momentum to actually occur if people get off their ***** and learn to give as much of a **** about their government as they do about American Idol, which I don't see happening any time soon.I posit that the republicans and the democrats are basically one in the same at this point except for two issues: gays and abortion.
Neither party is fiscally responsible or an advocate for small government and state's rights, and both are driven by media and polling which requires a dependence on large corporate donations.
I think we might be poised on the edge of a paradigm shift marked by a return to fundamental fiscal conservative values, and the embracing of socially moderate positions, at the federal level, that emphasizes personal freedom and individual choice in regards to issues of morality.
I believe this to be dominate position of most Americans and either party could adopt this position and successfully devastate their political opposition.
that's why i said "we might be poised" loL.Agreed but a paradigm shift can only be given sufficient momentum to actually occur if people get off their ***** and learn to give as much of a **** about their government as they do about American Idol, which I don't see happening any time soon.

for good god. i wish people would think like this.I'm independant. Anyone who votes for someone based on the party that they represent is a fool.
