****, barely gets that cold here..... and when it does it only lasts for like a week, otherwise -15 to -25 tops
It doesnt stay that cold for long, but it does get that low for a few days or a week. Ive seen it get -60 with the wind-chill and i havent lived here that long.

I think the real question is, who the hell wants to go outside to get a can of soda when it's 30 below? I'd just get one inside.
the only pop machine at work is outside. I wondered this last winter and was reminded of the conundrum today because it was the first day below zero.

you need to purchase one and report back to us on whether it's frozen or not

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I have bought many pops from the machine and they are never frozen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Sometimes the dollar or change slot does get full of ice and stops working.

So it gets really fukkin cold here, like -35 and below, and i was wondering if pop machines have heaters in them to keep the pops from freezing in the winter.

Hmm not sure on this but I am sure that the fridge unit is thermo controlled so it won't be turning on. I know the pop is shielded from the wind by being inside so this reduces perceived temps and the electronics and lighting will produce some heat and it will be trapped inside. However I just don't know if these points are enough to overcome straight -35* weather. In chitown it only got to percieved temps like that with wind chill factored in, so inside these machines it wouldn't be anywhere near that temp.

BTW, move out of the friggin tundra.

the record low for south dakota is -58 F //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif, thankfully i didnt live here then.

The coldest i have seen is like -38 or some ****... but when its that cold with a 30+ mph wind they report like -90 wind chills. Its always windy here because its the fukkin prairie - no dam trees.

Its not too bad this morning like -15, but its still too fukkin cold.

i think next semester i will take:
social policy

American foreign policy

sociology of communities

Russian lit

and i will be the supplemental instructor for research methodology and for American government.

I'm to the point where i only need electives, so I'm just taking stuff that interests me..
Monetary Policy

International Trade and Economics

International Finance
