Yes that is correct. It's a feat of anti-engineering, the QWERTY keyboard is designed to be as slow as possible.

By the time typewriters could be used with fast typing, it was too late to switch to anything else than QWERTY

PS the book also explains that Africans are no dumber than Caucasians. It explains that whites couldn't live longer than a few weeks if they were in the same situation as Africans, and vice versa.

The pulitzer prize winning book, "Guns, Germs, and Steel" by Jared Diamond, explains why some cultures are more successful than others. It thoroughly and clearly explains why some Africans are dancing around fires and eating bugs today, and 1000 years ago in western Europe, there were kingdoms, medieval communes, city life, universities, etc.

Some might call it "racist". If you really read the book, you will know that it is truth.

I thought the premise of that book was that the development of agriculture was the big difference.

Yup. It just happened to be that European land is better for agriculture than African land.

That is just one of the premises... the other ones are about industrialization.... immunity to germs and diseases... the creation of steel to make guns and agricultural tools.....

The book explains that Africans are NO DUMBER than anyone else. Just different lives because of their cultures and places they live. The book says that whites would not last if they were suddenly placed in Africa.... and vice versa....

Again, im working here, and it appears that your whole arguement is based on grammatical errors. As you said yourself it could come natural to someone such as myself with my "supposed" IQ score, but do you take into account any outstanding outliers, like the fact that im responding in between breaks at a company meeting, or that I have a load of claims that i'm responsible for, that come before this forum. If you would like to attempt to quantify my intelligence in a matter that is different from what is performed on standard IQ examination I would delightfully oblige and you will see that you really dont know what your talking about, or have no grounds of disproving my intellect other than the fact of my improper grammer that I've used while in the middle of my job. I could definately proof read everything that I've written but choose not to, as I have plenty of other things to worry about than this thread. Funny enough you clearly understood what I said(which was the point BTW) but had no response to the content of my statements, but rather to the grammer. I would not suggest a profession in law, because your attempt to disprove intelligence seems to be simply based on the grounds of grammer. In case you forgot the whole point of my original statement is that I'm black and that I have a higher than average IQ, and that the resources available and the knowledge provided while growing up has a greater affect than nature, hence the law of nature vs. nuture. I would like to continue this battle of intellect with you, but it appears you are i'll prepared for such a battle. So I'll keep making my money, and you can keep doing whatever it is you do
