Why is it that minorities are so statistically disadvantaged in everything?

Do they like it? Are the biologically inferior? Culturally inferior?

What causes them to have underrepresentation in politics, income, education, and a shorter lifespan - if it isn't unequal opportunities and disadvantage - what is it?

You lack specifics or analysis to your statistics. I am sure I can pull out statistics with no thought behind them to make a point, doesn't mean it will mean anything. If the white man is conciously holding minorities back, then by what means does he do it, by what means does he cause these statistics to be the case. Just saying he oppresses them is not an answer. Your lack of actual analysis makes these statistics irrelevant.

The Tilttle to this thread just add more gasoline to the never ennding flame. There's so much to say about this topic. I've been in the middle in this racist world and what i've learned is that people who live in such world are hypocrite, liars and two face. They will smile in your face, but say negative things as soon as you left. From my experiences I've learned that whites discriminate more than blacks and Hispanics, for many reasons. Jails, Jobs,education(good maners) and I understand, but that also isnt fair for the ones that are not, wich at the same time makes it harder for the ones who are doing good for themselves. If I had one thing to say it would be......

Lets wake up and loook around us, we have to better ourselves, be respectful with other people no matter what race you are. Some people know the truth, but refuse to accept it.

No matter what people will always look at your skin color first, Its just something thats learned from society.

LOL, the other week me and my friend were at the bar, it had one of those touch screen thing jukeboxes, so I immedietly start playing Three 6 Mafia, most people in my town are hicks and pretty much racist, anyways so my music comes on. This is after a bunch of Korn has played which my buddy picked, this dude looks over at my buddy and says " I hate this ****en rap music " The funny part is my friend is black, he played the Korn, I played the Three6, he dresses like the typical black dude my age, big baggy clothes, flat brimmed hat, nothing over kill or blingy though. The ignorance just makes me laugh to no end.

i love when people bring up the number of black's in jail. well if they commit the ****ing crime, what is the big deal?

i lived in a city that was 86% black, and i can guarantee that blacks can be as racist as whites

I remember being at a house part a few years back. My friend was the DJ so I was with him and so were about 4 or 5 of out other buddies. The cops come, break the party up, no big deal it always happens. They had my friend that was a DJ

THe majority of people in jail are white. Its common statistics for anyone to realize. Compare the amount of white people there are in the US to other races, of course they will have more people in jail, there is a higher probability. And again racism is a person issue, not an ethnic one. If it was ethnic the entire white race, black race, every race would be racist. I'm not disagreeing or anything with you iceteebone, just adding on to what you said.
