So, I decided I might as well start a build thread. For those of you who don't know me well, I'm kennyg on caraudioforum.com. I think I'm going to need to migrate over here out of necessity, since that forum is barely working now :/

Anywho, here's a general layout of my system plans:

HU: Clarion DRZ785USB

Front Stage:

Peerless HDS mids from Parts Express

Tang Band Ceramic Tweeters

Powered by a Cadence Txa-3002

Link to all the pictures of the build. So far, about all I have done is the passengers side mid installed in the stock kick panel location (modified slightly). Need to finish the drivers side as son as I can figure out where to relocate the hood release lever to. Going to be pulling my wire today for the tweeters. I'll use the stock wiring for the mids, ti's already there anyways. I've done alot of installs and have yet to ever hear a difference from stock wiring to aftermarket, so.....

Same mids I'm using! And dammit you, I wanted to try those tweeters, but PE has been out of them for forever. I'm using the XT25s now. But I still want to try those one day. Subscribed. I don't have a build log up yet, but I will soon. This week or next week for sure.

Of course they have them back in stock now. I just looked. And I just finished my gigantic tweeter pods on my A-pillars for the XT25s to get them as close on-axis as I could. Oh well. Maybe I'll grab a set and make some new pillars and swap them out when I want. We'll see.

Thanks guys. I just finished pulling the wires for the tweeters, and my RCA's into the trunk. I'm planning on putting the tweets in the a-pillars. Going to just kinda set them there while I get some initial tuning done. Then I'll play with aiming and positioning. Once I get a rough idea of where I'll want them, I'll be molding them into the a-pillars.

Thankfully, it's a fun car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The car is fairly well gutted, it's a track car/DD, and I HATE the interior on these cars, so as much of it as possible is coming out. FINALLY got around to making some progress. Got the drivers side mid installed. Ran my last RCA cable. Installed the new HU. Also ran wires fro the a-pillars to the HU, incase I wanted to see how running the tweeters off the HU works.
