Why haven't I switched to android a long time ago?

Switched over from the iphone 4s to the samsung note 3 which just came out. I had the iphone 4s for almost 2 years and has been a great phone but this new samsung note 3 blows it away!

Glad you're on the path to enlightenment. The multi-window is one of the features I just never got around to using, though, even with a 5" screen.

What do you think of the S-Pen?

I love my note 2 I could jjst imagine the note 3..man I've had about 7 different smart phones and I couldn't wait to get upgrades cuz I absolutely hated every kne of them im actually reallyyyyy hapoy with my note 2 for once the only reason I want to get rid of it now is because the note 3..the Iphone is just straight trash that whole company is just pure hype and every one has to have whats popular.

Its pretty nice and I like the note taking feature. The phone is extremely fast and responsive. It was a much better choice over the iphone 5s.

Shhh...iPhone 5S-weilding wife is sitting next to me. She'd cut a bitch if she heard you say that. But, yes, I'm a huge fan of Android myself. And I also have to say that Samsung really didn't fuck up the UI too much. Still, that phone of yours would look crazy awesome at native resolution on a AOSP build. Hopefully AOKP supports the Note 3 soon.

Apart from being able to look like a faggotty hipster at Starbucks I see no point in any Apple product.

I have pre-ordered the Note III which is supposedly shipping Thursday. Been using Andriod for ages now Wifi tether is priceless (free if you root your phone), SPL Labs meter uses Android, some Torrent clients, and there's a couple good PS One Emulators so I can play me some FF7, 8, and 9.... gaming should be excellent on the larger screen. Using the S3 now which is quite nice, wouldn't have even upgraded but Verizon had a glitch for a few days that let you get a subsidized phone and not dump your unlimited data.

Wasn't a glitch, it was a promo to make money and sell phones, once they reached the number they wanted, poof it was gone. Was reading about it earlier today on slickdeals...

Haha, I actually have a friend that I got wanting to switch over his iphone 5s to the note 3 after he saw my phone. I don't know much about android yet, so whats a AOSP build? Is that some sort of rooting?

Is it worth rooting the phone? I want to root it but I read I can brick the phone if I do it wrong. I had my iphone jailbroken and that was extremely easy and couldnt harm the phone if I did it wrong.

AOSP Builds are excellent. You can undervolt, overvolt, overclock, underclock, etc. to save battery or increase performance depending on the kernel you use as well. Any android users know if my logic is correct, I want to get an Android for the freedom and hardware power. The Note 3, with it's 3GB of RAM and 2.3 gHz processor will be great for ROMs correct? Or does it go deeper than hardware with these? Would the HTC One, S4, or something else be a better choice despite the weaker internals?
