Why has RE Audio gone downhill?

if they going back to where they started they gonna need scott and a few guys from fi for that to happen,
but not to dump I would like to see them put out decent products the more stuff out there the less likely imma hear that "my q powa's are the hardest hittin kickers out there"
No they dont. They have been around long enough they kno what use to work for them. All they have to do is pull out there paper work on there old subs and just do some mods here and there and start building them again and they will do fine.

If you look around alot of the subs that are out now are built basically the same as RE's old subs

I often wonder how many people know Scott (Owner of Fi Car Audio) and Dave (Owner of FixMySpeaker, PSI) used to co-own RE Audio in their glory days. IIRC Scott designed every woofer they have. They've (US Amps) only tweaked Atwells designs. Without Scott designing their woofers, I don't see RE moving forward (in terms of performance).

yea i hope they get on the right track....i love my sx 10s....trying to find a d4 and its nearly impossible unless u pay 300 on ebay lol. im curious as to why moving to china makes something bad.....where do they make sundown? skar? etc......i dont know im just curious. i would like to know what companies make their equipment in the us.....not design.....make.

For subwoofers I can't think of a single instance where a company has outsourced motors and coils and not taken a dump in qualilty. I'm sure there's some fair softparts and motors made in the far east, but much of it is junk and generally when a company outsources those parts it's not because they have found a better quality part so they can offer their customers better quality.

yeah nothing against david, but he is no scott, if you look back at re, blueprint and others, and now with fi, aa, ssa. scott's ability's have yet to stop amazing me

RE audio will soon be dead like US Amps. RE audio has not only lowered the quality of the products they make now days but they have had to let go of most of the staff due to money issues and so they lack any kind of customer service as well. Had a problem with 2 RE subs straight out of the box and they went weeks without responding to my emails or phone calls. Finally sent both subs to them for warranty and got back 2 refurbished subs when they promised 2 new subs and only to find out they sent back one 2 ohm and one 4 ohm sub in which one of the subs was again DOA. RIP US Amps and soon to RIP RE Audio!

I decided to change up a little at the end of last year and not use my 2 RE Audio SEs 10s (old ones) and go with 1 15. I figured that I would buy the new SXX series thinking it was better than the old ones. Wrong, the speaker blew in 3 days. I know for a fact that my amp was not clipping and I had an enclosure built to specs. I sold my SEs for $180 shipped (stupid). Luckily, I still had a brand new one in the garage that was not being used and I went to a car audio shop that I do business with and had them look for some old stock. The guy digged and digged and found a brand new SE (dual 2 ohm) to match my other (dual 2 ohm) in the garage and now I am back to my regular hard hitting low-end bass again. I am staying with my SEs and will never use the new stuff again.

Their* a million times over... it's THERE in every single one of your post. I realize you don't give a fuck, and you can just keep on not caring, but I had to point it out.

Yea quality has gone down but still have faith. The sx n up say made in usa with other softparts...shld b a hint Of lowered quality. Jus ordered my se x gona see how it stacks up to my older se s..hope im not dissapointed.

RE is off the shelf junk now, has been for years. Everyone whom has a brain knows this by now. US Amps, is a joke....RE, no one gives a shit about them anymore. They brought it upon themselves, so I say let em die. They chose cheap china built shit.....so they get what they deserve. DD and Audioque ( or whatever its named this week ) is just as bad.

Is it sad that the only two sub manufacturers I even deal with anymore are American Bass and Atomic? At least they were up front about the china involvement.
