Im from the california and I always rock the flag. Ive always liked the south, especially the fine azz women. Alot of southern chicks Ive talked to were always polite as hell.

There was no income tax (tariffs were shared by all states), we already discussed the state's rights aspect, and lets not forget that most of the presidents prior to the Civil War were from what region - oh yes, the South. Most of the military officers, and of course a significant number of representatives and Senators in Congress were from the South. So, how exactly were they being mistreated?

Significant yes, enough to make a difference, no. As you know State Representatives are based on population, which the South had less of, because slaves were not counted as citizens.

Oh and the Presidents argument, these are the presidents before Lincoln -

Millard Filmore - from N.Y. - wasn't even elected and detested the South

Franklin Pierce - from N.H. -although he was a Southern sympathizer and because of this he lost popularity and the North undermined him leading to the reputation as one of the worst presidents in U.S. history.

James Buchanan - from Penn. - Scholars consistently rank him as one of the two or three worst American presidents

Anything else you need corrected on.
