Why does my W7 sound like Poo?

Hi i just installed this 13w7 its wired down to .75 ohms i ran it off a kicker 1200.1 and

it just sounds terrible at high volumes and at low volumes it just soudns REALLY really boomy. ive tested many cds and it all seems the same. the only thing i dont think is right is that the front baffle on this box sticks out further then the rest of the box? Any1 have any answers. I have it running off a pioneer 960mp and im running it 80hz down subsonic at 20 and i also tried it at 63 hz and still no help. it seems liek teh subs making boopm,y sounds that dont sound natrual and seems like the sub is vibrating or something it sounds weird. i tested both coils and they were dead on.

Leak in the box?

Air leak around the mounting surface of the sub?

Incorrect settings somewhere?

Bass boost turned on?

Crappy front stage (biggest problem with people running the W7...not enough midbass to keep up)?

no bass boost im not sure about air leak how would i test something like that? and right now im just running 6x9's intill i get aroudnt o maybe installing these XXX mids but The bass just sounds terrible. i tested the voltage on the amp it hought it may be voltage drops but its steady at 14.26

Make sure all ur settings on the head unit are set correctly my cousin has two w6v2 and had a similar problem. thats not a premiere series HU is it.

i believe it is the premier series HU im in centereach exit 62 on the LIE.

to test your box, just coat it with some type of powder and see if it comes off, tissues will work too.

Back on topic, what are your settings on your head unit? Hows your gain set?

didnt look at your box link good but was it a ported box? why dont u try sealing the holes and make it a SEALED box...for example just play it with your trunk close and just put a wood board or something to block the holes and see if there is any difference..i had experience with that before..i had subs that sounded like stock speakers in a ported box for some reason but when i covered them holes it was kicking hard..so give it a shot.

Well i am just not a jl audio fan. I know there w7 series is supposed to be great but i have heard some of them and they sounded funny to me. That is just my opinion though.

Sounds like a box issue. I personally wouldnt have bought it online. Alot of times boxes on the net may say what they are tuned at, but may not actually be that specific frequency that they listed.
