my gf thinks its a stupid hobby and a waste of money....but somehow she can go to american eagle and spend $300........my mom has nickel and dimed more money into scrap booking than i have on my current system.....

Started off as just wanting to add an MP3 player to my car. Then I had to add new speakers because the stock ones weren't cutting it. But then I realized that I needed some low end, so I added subs.

Pretty much after that, I was fascinated with car audio. I'm a junkie, thats all I can say.

P.S. I prefer my music to NOT be heard outside my car (and with the amount of deadening I have, it can't).

if you are reallyinto your system, and install it your self. the greatest thing is the first time you hear it. it just puts the biggest grin on your face, to know that you did it and your car wires didn't melt. Well my dad got me into home audio when I was about 12. I had well over a grand just in my home components. Then when i bought my first truck (86 chevy blazer 5 spd) My father hooked me up with an infinity perfect 10.1 (sealed) and polk audio 4x6 all the way around. Ever since then I couldnt imagine not having a system. It makes driving more enjoyable.

ever since my first year at votech (junior year of high school 3 years ago) all these kids had systems and i wanted one so bad. one of my classmates had a badass camaro, and he had 2 L7's (12's iirc) and 2 kicker amps and that was the loudest fucking thing i'd ever heard in my life. i thought it would be too hard and troublesome to do. so i go to some website and read about the components of a "system" then thought "hey, all i need is an amp+sub+box+wires=system!" and then off it was to best buy. cost me ~$500 for a rf punch z 10", truck box, sony 1200w max amp, 4 gauge rf wire kit, and installation. since then, i've learned so much and i'm somewhat of a perfectionist. plus it keeps me away from drugs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Well I love music and technology. I guess those two kinda brought me into sound system. It takes my mind off things when driving in traffic and occasional road rage. I guess I enjoy good music at a high level of fidelity. Still searching for that ultimate setup...but I guess one can never be happy right?

I just straight up love bass and music.. Makes driving MUCH more enjoyable.. Hell, sometimes I just leave my house to ride around and listen to my system..
