why do my tweeters hiss?

well tomorrow im gonna switch the level on my crossover to -3 and see if i does anything if not i will turn my gain down a bit. after that i have no idea so i will come back to you guys.

 
Hiss is usually a result of gain structure between the HU and amp. The DD-1 isn't looking for hiss but clipping. Hiss is likely with that method. Lower the HU volume used or decrease amp gain or both. Likely you won't be as loud to elimate hiss.

I don't see adjusting passive crossovers as a fix, that is just adding a resistor in series with the tweeter, making them quieter.
