why do my tweeters hiss?

so lately iv notices i get a faint hiss from my tweeters. you can only really notice it at high volumes.

here is a vid. on the last song you can hear the hiss im talking about. so why im i getting this hiss how can i stop it?

Yea, that definitely sounds like its just the recording man. Not necessarily a bad one, but some songs have that background noise. Even some tracks on my Focal test discs have it.

ya its pretty annoying tho, and does it on most songs.

90% chance your tweeters are to high and picking up noise. Try attenuating them to normal or -3 see if it goes away.

edit: and my notifications are all, except pm's, turned off. If you want me to see something it's best to pm me.

This is what I told him initially. But, I wasn't sure if that applied since he's running passively. But, I guess that makes sense.

Most of the time it's the problem, it could be picking up noise some other place in the system but hard to tell over the internet.

yea i would turn them down. also sometimes when you use too much hu volume it does this also. seen people have gains too low on amps etc and have to use too much hu volume creating a hiss. cheap rca's can also cause it.

amps are set with dd1 headunit doesnt clip. so amps are set at HU volume 32, HU goes up to 35, did the same thing when i had the old mids in and couldnt go past 25 on head unit without them sounding like *****. im using stinger rcas, the ones that argentaudio is selling on here. so not using cheap rcas.

burnt cd, all songs were 320kb that i dled. going to be getting my songs from itunes from now on tho
