whta ohm sub?

Well first off, what you mean you'll be running either 2ohm 1000w or 2ohm 2000w? Do you mean you'll be running an amp that can do 2ohms, just not decided on what your wattage will be? Or is that a typo?

If you need a final impedance of 2ohms, you need a dual voice coil 4ohm subwoofer. Not 2ohm. With a single sub, with dual voice coils @ 4ohms a piece, you can wire the voice coils in series (+ to + and - to -) and you'll have a 2ohm load for the amp.

If that was a typo, and you really need 1ohm final impedance, then get the dual 2ohm subwoofer. Wire it in series for a 1ohm final load.

Basically heres how it works...

1 sub - dual voice coils @ 4ohms, can be wired in series for 2ohm final load or parallel for a 8ohm final load.

you can wire a dual 1 ohm to be a 2 ohm subwoofer as well.

Wire positive from amp to positive on first voice coil, then negative on amp to negativeo n the other voice coil. Will see a final load of 2 ohms

you couldnt be more wrong.........wiring a dual 4 ohm in series gives you 8 ohms and parallel gives you 2 ohms............or you could wire a 1 ohm sub in series to get 2 ohms
